The Stakeholder Spotlight of the week is Tom Diege The Stakeholder Spotlight of the week is Tom Diegel!

Tom grew up in Oregon and learned to love the mountains and rivers there, and naturally was lured to Utah as a step-up in the beauty, ruggedness, relief, quality, and accessibility of Utah's mountains and deserts. After many years of cycling, running, hiking, climbing, and skiing in the Wasatch, he was asked to be on the fledgling Wasatch Backcountry Alliance a decade ago and happily accepted since Tom knew that activism was in his heart and relished the opportunity to get more involved. They quickly got involved in the Mountain Accord process, and, as a member of the Recreation workgroup, Tom was involved in many meetings and was honored to be accepted into the Central Wasatch Commission's stakeholder group. He has been pleased to get to know and work with the many players in the Wasatch to achieve a balance of preservation with economic interests.

People stopped to admire the view as they traversed to Twin Peaks. The photo was taken on September 27, 1931, probably by Homer A. Collins.

Where do you like to hike in the fall? Comment below! 🍂🍁
