In summer 2022, the Central Wasatch Commission rel In summer 2022, the Central Wasatch Commission released a request for proposals for the Big Cottonwood Canyon Action Mobility Plan (BCC MAP). The BCC MAP aims to identify and develop strategies that will guide multi-modal transportation investments for Big Cottonwood Canyon, expanding sustainable transportation choices that support positive environmental, social, and economic outcomes. It has been our goal to make the development of the BCC MAP a largely public driven process in hopes of formulating a plan that best fits community needs.

Last month the Central Wasatch Commission opened a survey to hear public opinion about transportation in Big Cottonwood Canyon. We received just under one thousand responses that will help us shape the future of the BCC MAP and transportation strategies moving forward. We would like to thank all those who participated! The next phase of development is drafting, taking place through March 2023, followed by a commentary period, during which the draft will be open for public review. Draft revisions and finalizations will occur through April 2023, after which a final BCC MAP will be adopted in May 2023.
