Join us for our monthly recap of the happenings in the Central Wasatch. This month’s unofficial theme is definitely a lack of snow.
Meet the Mountain Accord Stakeholders Council ⛰️ Meet the Mountain Accord Stakeholders Council ⛰️

This group brings together 35 community voices—from environmental organizations and recreation advocates to ski resorts, residents, and local partners—all working to shape the future of the Central Wasatch. Acting in an advisory role to the CWC Board, stakeholders collaborate across the four key areas of transportation, environment, economy, and recreation. Together they work to find balanced, shared solutions.

Through committees and collective discussion, the Council reflects what the Mountain Accord is all about: diverse perspectives coming together to protect, preserve, and responsibly plan for these mountains we all love.

The Central Wasatch Commission was created in 2017 The Central Wasatch Commission was created in 2017 to carry forward the vision of the Mountain Accord—bringing together local communities, agencies, and stakeholders to plan for the future of the Central Wasatch.

Our main directive? Work to create the Central Wasatch National Conservation and Recreation Area.

Additionally, through projects like transportation studies, visitor use research, and the Central Wasatch Dashboard, we work to protect the environment, improve recreation access, and support thoughtful stewardship of these mountains so they can be enjoyed for generations to come. 🏔️
