Wildlife

While driving, hiking, or enjoying the many different possible forms of recreation in the Wasatch Mountains, we have the opportunity to observe an impressive array of different wildlife species. It is estimated that over 70 mammal, 200 bird, 25 fish, 25 snail, and 30 reptile and amphibian species are present in the Central Wasatch, not to mention more than 100 plant families representing over eleven hundred species of plants and a currently un-estimated number of insects.
