The Central Wasatch Commission will hold four public meetings the week of September 9th:

Transportation System Committee Meeting -- Monday, September 9th from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
CWC Transportation Committee Meeting -- Tuesday, September 10th from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Environment System Committee Meeting -- Tuesday, September 10th from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.
Economy System Committee Meeting -- Thursday, September 12th from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

All meetings will be held in person and online via Zoom. Links in bio!

The Central Wasatch Commission's Youth Council sub

The Central Wasatch Commission's Youth Council submitted two grants to the CWC's Short-Term Project Grant Program earlier this year. The Outdoor Access Committee proposed to help stock a community gear library at @mobilemooncoop and make outdoor recreation more affordable and accessible to those around the Salt Lake Valley. The committee also partnered with @thegearfundcollective, a local mutual aid organization that obtains outdoor gear and clothing and facilitates the redistribution of these resources back into the community.

On Saturday, the Outdoor Access Committee Chair, Kent Wu, and Co-Chair, Ryan McCann, helped bring most of the gear they've collected to Mobile Moon Co-op. Behind them is the gear shed which is finishing up being built and stocked. The CWC Youth Council will continue to help collect gear by hosting a gear drive at the Outdoor Film Festival on September 18th at the Front Climbing Gym. Come watch local outdoor films and bring your new and gently used gear to help uplift this project!

Mark your calendars! The Central Wasatch Commissio

Mark your calendars! The Central Wasatch Commission's Youth Council is hosting their first Outdoor Film Festival! Spend your evening watching local short films and enjoying snacks at the Front Climbing Gym @thefrontclimbing on September 18th, 2024, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. The event has a $15 entry fee for non-members that includes an ALL DAY pass to the Front, including shoes/harness/chalk rentals, and free snacks at the festival! Make sure to also bring new and gently used outdoor gear for the Youth Council’s gear drive! All donations will go towards stocking their upcoming Gear Shed Project and partnership with the Gear Fund Collective and Mobile Moon Co-op.
